2015 Dennis Cannataro Family Summer Concert Series
The Friends of The Smithtown Library proudly announce the visit our site 11th Annual Outdoor Summer Concert Series, made possible by a grant from Suffolk County and secured by Legislator Robert Trotta. What better way to spend a warm summer evening then listening to great entertainment with your family and friends at an outdoor concert?
The Thursday evening shows begin promptly at 8:00pm, but it is recommended that you plan on arriving early.  The concerts take place on the front lawn of the Smithtown Main Building (except August 20).  The concert on August 20 will take place at the Kings Park Branch.
Bring a chair or blanket with you.

July 9 - Eagles Tribute Band - Desert Highway

July 16 - Billy Joel Tribute - "Piano Man" Henry Haid & Glass Houses

July 23 - The Rockinghams - Hit Songs from the 60's & 70's

Join the Friends of The Smithtown Library ... This not-for-profit volunteer organization is dedicated to supporting the www.kaybojesen.com resources of the Library.  Proceeds from sales, raffles and membership dues are used to purchase specialty items for the Library and update to sponsor educational and cultural programs for children, teens and adults.  Membership applications can be obtained at the Friends table near the stage prior to each concert.

Any Smithtown Library cardholder can make an appointment with a librarian for one-on-one training in various library and computer topics. We offer 30 minute sessions in the following areas:
- Using the Library Catalog
- Introduction to Library Databases
- Downloadable eBooks and/or Audiobooks
- eReader and Tablet Demonstrations
- Introduction to Social Networking sites
- And more!

Recycle Station

The Smithtown Library collects the supplements following items for recycling cell phones & eyeglasses.
The Library no longer accepts batteries for recycling. The Town of Smithtown now allows residents to dispose of many household batteries in their garbage. For more information click here.
