Howl-oween Pet Parade
10:00 - 11:00am
(Families with children under the age of 12)
Do you have a pet you want to show off? Bring your pet to the Library Halloween pet parade! In addition to the parade we will have crafts and an opportunity for your pet to show us their costume. All participants will receive a certificate. All types of pets are welcome. For safety purposes, children must be accompanied by an adult and pets must be on a leash or in a cage, wagon or other container. We also ask that you clean up after your pets.
Trunk or Treat
2:00 - 3:30pm
Children can Trunk or Treat in the parking lot at the Library. We will have several cars set up with goodies to hand out to trick-or-treaters. The fun will end at 3:30pm or when all the candy has been given away (whichever comes first). Costumes are encouraged. We also need volunteers to decorate their trunks (not too scary, please!) and bring some goodies to hand out. If you have ever wished that you got a few trick or treaters and/or miss seeing children enjoying the holiday, we promise that you’ll have a great time. We have 20 parking places available. Set-up time for cars is 1pm.
Please sign up your vehicle no later than Friday, October 28 by contacting the Children’s Department at the Smithtown Main Building.
