The Friends of the Smithtown Library proudly announce the Fifth Annual Outdoor Family Summer Concert Series, made possible by a grant secured by Suffolk County Legislator Lynne C. Nowick. The Thursday evening programs will be held on the front lawn of The Smithtown Library beginning at 8:00pm. Bring your folding chairs and blankets and enjoy the free concerts in our Norman Rockwell type setting. In case of inclement weather, please call the Library at 265-2072, ext. 207 AFTER 3:00pm on the date of the concert for an update. You may also check the Library's website at : www.smithlib.org.

July 2: Billy Joel Tribute Band: Big Shot
The premier Billy Joel Tribute act including all of Joel's greatest hits. The band creates a sound and stage presence as excitingly close to an actual Billy Joel performance as you will ever experience.

July 9: Driftwoods: Beach Boys
The Driftwoods are the East Coast's original Beach Boys tribute band. The band asks everyone in the audience to dress in a Beach Boy or surfer shirt!!!

July 16: Oldies Show: Risky Business
One of the top nostalgia bands on Long Island takes you back to the music of the 60's through today. Hear all the top music from each era.

July 23: Rag Doll: Four Seasons
All of the greatest hits including Sherry, Big Girls Don't Cry, Can't Take My Eyes Off You, Stay, Let's Hang On and Oh, What a Night and, of course, if you can't get tickets to 'Jersey Boys' this show is a must for you!

July 30: Rod Stewart Show: Rick Larrimore
The "ULTIMATE" Tribute to Rod Stewart. Rick Larrimore brings us Rod Stewart. You will not be able to tell if you are watching Rod or Rick.

Aug 6: Dr. K's Motown Revue
The band takes a break from the Mohegan Sun to warm the hearts of our Library fans. This band takes you on a very realistic journey to the Motown sound and makes you want to sing along with every familiar song!

Aug 13: Beatles Show: Strawberry Fields
A Beatles Tribute band performing a complete Beatles show in full costume and make-up. The intent of the group is to respectfully recreate the music, look, feel and magic of the Fab Four, a group that changed the course of music history.
