SEPTEMBER PROGRAMS

 

On-line, phone or in person registration for September programs begins on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 10am.

Registration is required for all programs.

 

Mother Goose Rhyme Time

Monday, September 8 • 10:30-11:00am (Birth-35 months with parent/caregiver)                

Tuesday, September 30 • 11:00-11:30am (Birth-35 months with parent/caregiver)

Enjoy a traditional time of nursery rhymes and songs for baby. A great introduction to the library for the youngest of children! Siblings are welcome.

 

Wonderful Ones  

Friday, September 19 and 26 • 11:00-11:45am (12-23 months with parent/caregiver)

This action-packed program engages little ones in language based activities;

includes free play, stories and fun! Siblings are welcome.

 

Time for Twos          

Monday, September 22 and 29 • 11:00-11:45am (24-35 months with parent/caregiver)

Visit the Library and enjoy building social skills in a relaxed, friendly enviroment; includes free play, songs, stories and a craft. Siblings are welcome.

 

Autumn Leaves        

Saturday, September 20 •3:00-3:30pm (2 years with parent/caregiver)        

Create an art project using autumn leaves right from our backyard! We will also enjoy listening to stories about this season. Dress to make a mess!

 

Terrific Threes         

Tuesday, September 16 and 23 • 11:00-11:45am (36-47 months with parent/caregiver)

Enjoy free play, stories, crafts, and circle time. Siblings are welcome.

 

If You Give a Mouse a Cookie        

Thursday, September 11 • 3:00-3:30pm (3-5 year with parent/caregiver)

We will read author Laura Numeroff’s delightful story and then make an adorable mouse craft.

 

Turtle Time              

Wednesday, September 17 •11:00-11:30am (3-5 year with parent/caregiver)

Join in the fun as we read very special stories about our friend the turtle. Have fun decorating your own paper plate turtle.

 

Pirate Parade                                   

Thursday, September 18 • 4:00-4:30pm (Ages 5-8 years)

Ahoy mateys! We will read some landlubber tales and then make foam pirate hats to sail away with!

 

LEGO® Time           

Saturday, September 27 •10:00-10:45am (Ages 5-8 years)

Come and join the fun! Using LEGO® BRICKS and your imagination, you can create and build many wonderful things.

 

Lights Out!     

Friday, September 12 • 4:00-4:30pm (Ages 8-11 years)

Enjoy reading about cool science inventions and then make a paper plate light bulb craft.

 

Beautiful Back to School Notebooks          

Saturday, September 13 • 10:30-11:00am (Ages 8-11 years)

Make a special personalized notebook to use at school or at home.

Dragon Tales and Scales

Thursday, August 28 • 3:00-3:30pm (3-5 years with parent/caregiver)

We will read stories about fire-breathing dragons and then make a “cool” craft.

 

Little Book Buddies

Wednesday, August 6, 13, 20 and 27 • 3:30-4:00pm (4 years–Entering Grade 2)

Book Buddies is a program in which a child (4 years old -3rd grade) is paired with a teen (grades 6-12) for a rewarding reading experience! Older children receive community service credit for participation.

 

Rockin’ Recycled Instruments

Saturday, August 16 • 11:00-11:30am (Entering Grades 1-5)

Come to the library to learn about the science of sound and make your own instruments from recycled materials.

 

Friendly Fireflies

Wednesday, August 20 • 11:00-11:30am (Entering Grades 2-5)

Have fun reading about our friend the firefly and make a cute firefly craft to decorate your room.

 

Back to School is Cool

Saturday, August 23 • 10:30-11:00am (Entering Grades 3-5)

We will create masterpieces using every day school supplies! Bring your favorite notebook and the library will supply the rest. Dress to make a mess.

 

It's Book Time with Ronald McDonald!

Registration begins Friday, August 8 at 10:00am

Thursday, August 28 - 11:30am-12:30pm (Families with children under the age of 12)


Join us for this fun-filled performance with magic that engages children with games and audience participation, all to reinforce the importance of reading and bringing books to life.  Followed by a “Meet and Greet” and a photo with Ronald after the show which will be posted on the LIMcDonalds.com website photo gallery upon parental permission.
