On-line, phone or in person registration for January programs begins on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 10am.  Registration is required for all programs.

 

Mother Goose Rhyme Time

Saturday, January 10 • 10:30-11:00am (Birth-35 months with parent/caregiver)

Thursday, January 22 • 11:00-11:30am (Birth-35 months with parent/caregiver)

Enjoy a traditional time of nursery rhymes and songs for baby.  A great introduction to the library for the youngest of children!  Siblings are welcome.    

 

Wonderful Ones   

Tuesday, January 20 and 27 • 11:00-11:45am

(12-23 months with parent/caregiver)

This action-packed program engages little ones in language based activities;

includes free play, stories and fun!  Siblings are welcome.   

 

Time for Twos          

Friday, January 16 and 23 • 11:00-11:45am

(24-35 months with parent/caregiver)

Visit the Library and enjoy building social skills in a relaxed, friendly environment; includes free play, songs, stories and a craft.  Siblings are welcome.

 

Library Playdate      

Thursday, January 29 • 11:00-11:45am

(2-4 years old with parent/caregiver)

Seize the play and keep the mess at our place!  Join us for an informal play date – meet other children and families while playing with toys and creating an art project.

 

Silly Snowmen          

Friday, January 9 • 11:00-11:30am (2 years with parent/caregiver)            

Let’s read chilly winter stories and make a silly snowman to take home with you.

 

Winnie the Pooh and Friends

Tuesday, January 6 • 11:00-11:30am (2-4 years with parent/caregiver)      

Join us in the Hundred Acre Wood for stories and a craft all about our favorite Pooh bear.

 

Tooting Trains

Thursday, January 8 • 11:00-11:30am (3-5 year with parent/caregiver)

Race along the track with us as we read and explore the railroad!

 

Where’s My Mitten              

Tuesday, January 20 • 3:00-3:30pm (3-5 year with parent/caregiver)

Brrr! It's cold outside! Come to the library to warm up to cozy books.

 

It’s Groundhog Day!

Will the ground hog see his shadow?  Let’s read and find out!

 

Shark Time

Wednesday, January 21 • 4:00-4:30pm (Ages 5-8 years)

Do you love sharks? Then you'll enjoy this exciting storytime!  Have fun reading about this favorite creature of the sea and then use your imagination to paint a wooden shark.

 

Kids Create

Saturday, January 24 • 10:30-11:00am (Ages 5-8 years)

Bring your imagination and the library will supply the rest! Let books inspire you to create masterpieces from everyday materials.

 

Snow is Falling         

Saturday, January 31 • 10:30-11:15am (Ages 5-8 years)

Listen to stories about snow and make a special snowflake painting.

 

My Very Own Trinket Box

Wednesday, January 7• 4:00-4:30pm (Ages 8-11 years)

Come and join us as we paint a small ceramic box that can hold your special little treasures.

 

Scratch Art Dinosaur Ornament    

Thursday, January 15 • 4:00-4:30pm (Ages 8-11 years)

After we read some long ago tales of the dinosaur we will each make a scratch art dinosaur to bring home and hang!

We will read and sing some favorite nursery rhymes, listen to music and make a fun craft.

 

Digi-Tots

Friday, December 26 • 11:00-11:30am (2-4 years with parent/caregiver)  

Join us for a unique storytime you won’t want to miss! We will sing songs, read traditional stories, and introduce you and your little one to digital resources designed to foster early literacy skills. There will be free play at the end, allowing time for questions from caregivers about how to access these digital materials from home.

 

I’m the Gingerbread Man

Thursday, December 18 • 11:00-11:30am(3-5 year with parent/caregiver)

Let’s read the tale of the gingerbread man and decorate your own special gingerbread man.

 

Let It Snow                           

Monday, December 22 • 3:00-3:30pm (3-5 year with parent/caregiver)

It’s snowing in the library! We will read winter stories and make our very own snow to take home. Dress to make a mess.

 

Holiday Spectacular

Monday, December 29 • 11:00-11:45am (Ages 5-11 years)

Keep your skills sharp while on holiday break! Join us for a session of crafts, games, puzzles, word searches and more relating to the holiday season!

 

LEGO® Legends

Wednesday, December 17 • 4:00-4:45pm (Ages 8-12 years)

Do you enjoy building things? Stop in to our LEGO® League and make whatever you like. We'll provide the LEGO® BRICKS!

 

Adventures in Art: Winter Birch Trees     

Saturday, December 20 • 10:30-11:15am (Ages 7-11 years)

Create a beautiful watercolor painting of winter birch trees at night. Use tape and salt to help create the trees and snow!
