Residents of the Town of Smithtown, who are registered with the Suffolk County Board of Elections, and meet the following qualifications can vote at any of the Library's four buildings:
- You are a citizen of the United States of America;
- You are at least eighteen (18) years of age;
- You have been a resident of Suffolk County for at least thirty (30) days prior to the vote;
- You are registered with the Suffolk County Board of Elections.
Please note that if you do not vote at your assigned "home" branch, you will vote by paper ballot, not by machine. For information on your "home" library, please click here.
Voter registration forms can be obtained through the Suffolk County Board of Elections (631-852-4500), your local post office, or you may pick up a form at any branch of The Smithtown Library. The completed form must be returned to the Suffolk County Board of Elections, not to the Library.
