3D Printers at The Smithtown Library

 

Thank you to the Friends of The Smithtown Library for donating 3D Printers to each of our Library buildings.  Patrons can submit requests to have a designed printed.  These requests are reviewed to ensure they comply with the Library's policy, then sent to the requested pick-up location for printing.

Calling all geeks and nerds! Join us at our monthly meeting. All fandoms are welcome at G.A.N.E. where we discuss graphic novels, movies, books and television shows. Register
 
SAT Review CANCELLED
Thursdays, April 7, 14, 21, 28 • 6:00-8:30pm
Over 2 million students will be taking the SATs this year; if you’re one of them, how prepared are you? This indispensable four-week course will be led by long time SAT instructors. Includes a study book. FEE: $88 per person. 
 
 
Art Buddies Volunteers
Monday, May 9 • 4:00-5:00pm
Enjoy earing community service by spending an afternoon paired with a younger child for some art projects. Teens receive an hour of community service for participating. Register
 
Teen Art Studio
Tuesday, May 10 • 7:00-8:00pm
Enjoy a relaxing afternoon in our Teen Art Studio. This month we will explore watercolors. All materials will be provided. Register
 
Junior LEGO® Buddies Volunteers
Wednesday, May 18• 4:00-5:00pm
Come and be paired with a younger child and help them with their LEGO® creation. Teens will earn one hour of community service for participating in this program. Register
 
 
Living Environment Regents Review
Wednesday, June 1 • 6:00-8:00pm
Prepare for this year’s regents exams at your Library! Review materials will be given out at the class. Registration begins May 2 for Smithtown residents and May 9 for all out of-district residents. Please note that there are sessions to choose from for some review classes. Make sure you register for the time you are interested in, as switching may not be possible. Fee: $10.00 per person, per class. Register
 
Physics Regents Review
Thursday, June 2 • 6:00-8:00pm

Battle of the Books

This County-wide competition is intended for young adults who will be entering grades 6-9 in September of 2016. Teens must read 8 books and answer trivia questions about the books. Tryouts will determine who will make the final team of 6. Register
 
Book Buddies Teen Volunteers

Earn community service by reading to a younger book buddy. It is a rewarding experience that you won't want to miss. Teens will earn one hour of community service for participating. Register

Garden Markers

Recycle Station

The Smithtown Library collects the following items for recycling cell phones & eyeglasses.
The Library no longer accepts batteries for recycling. The Town of Smithtown now allows residents to dispose of many household batteries in their garbage. For more information click here.
