Homework Helpers
Thursdays,March 16, 23 and 30• 4:30-5:30pm
Mondays,March 13, 20 and 27• 4:30-5:30pm
Volunteers in grades 9-12 will work one-on-one with children in grades K-5 assisting them with homework and studying.  All volunteers must submit an application and a letter of recommendation prior to the start of the program.  The application is available at both the Adult and Children's Reference Desks at the Nesconset Branch.  Each teen will receive one hour of community service. 
 
Chess Buddies Volunteers
Thursday, March 16•  6:15-7:15pm
Earn community service credit by teaching younger children how to play chess. You do not have to be a chess expert to volunteer! There will be a 30-minute tutorial at the beginning. Each teen will receive one hour of community service. Register
 
Zombie Makeup Workshop for Teens
Saturday, March 18•  2:00-4:00pm
Join us for this two hour hands-on workshop that will focus on expression and creativity.  You will go over the procedure for turning yourself into a zombie, step-by-step.  All participants must have a permission slip filled out by a parent/guardian. Register
 
SAT Review Classes
Monday, April 3• 6:00-8:30pm
Monday, April 17• 6:00-8:30pm
Monday, April 24• 6:00-8:30pm
Monday, May 1• 6:00-8:30pm
Over 2 million students will be taking the SATs this year; if you’re one of them, how prepared are you? This indispensable 4-week course will be led by long time SAT instructors. FEE: $88 (non-refundable) per person by cash, or check made payable to The Smithtown Library, due at time of registration. Registration begins March 6 for Smithtown residents’ and March 20 for all out of district residents. Register

Escape the Room for Teens
Monday, April 10• 7:00-8:00pm
We're transforming one of the rooms in the library into a mystery puzzle! In this interactive game, you'll have just one hour to solve puzzles, find hidden keys, and piece together clues to...escape the room! Register
 
Emoji Sugar Cookies for Teens 
Wednesday, April 12• 7:00-8:00pm
Join Fanny Cakes to decorate fun and delicious cookies.  These are so adorable you’ll want to spread the love and give them to all your friends and family. Register
 
Game Time Volunteers
Thursday, April 13• 6:00-7:30pm
