The Young Adult Summer Reading Program’s theme for 2015 is Unmask! If you are a teen entering grade 6-12 you can register at your local Smithtown Library branch on Monday, June 22! The more books you read and activities you complete, the more prizes and raffle tickets you will earn. The raffle tickets can be used to win one of the grand prizes. Be sure to stay tuned for fun filled programs you can sign up for! Programs include craft workshops, volunteer opportunities, baking classes, movie days and nights, and so much more! In this club, teens will get their hands dirty as they install and tend a new vegetable garden at the Kings Park Library. We will also learn many aspects of gardening while tending to the beautiful butterfly garden out front. Community service hours will be awarded for hours worked in the gardens. So You Want To Make A Comic

So you want learn to make a comic. Well then this class is for you. Armed with pencils, paper and a real comic book script, this three hour crash course will teach you how industry professionals create their sequential stories. With the guidance of comic book illustrators Mina Sanwald you will have everything you need to get started in the world of comics. FEE: $5 per person due at registration. Register

Paracords for Troops

Teens will learn how to makes these paracord bracelets to donate to the troops.  Each teen will earn one hour of community service. Register
 
SAT Review
Thursdays, September 3, 10, 17, 24 • 6:00-8:30pm
Over 2 million students will be taking the SATs this year; if you’re one of them, how prepared are you? This indispensable 4-week course will be led by long time SAT instructors. Includes a study book. FEE: $88 per person. Registration is ongoing, space is limited. Register
 
Teen Volunteer Opportunity Animal Shelter Drive

Join us for a special Teen Volunteer Opportunity where we will be making posters and decorating donation boxes for our Animal Shelter Drive. We will also be making catnip toys for the feline residents of the shelter. Register
 
DIY Cracked Glass Glitter Magnets

Using cracked glass flat marbles and plenty of glitter we will make one of a kind magnets to hold all your photos and important notes. Register
