Teen Volunteer Opportunities
Can’t fit our volunteer opportunities into your schedule?
The Smithtown Library now offers one-hour volunteer sessions by appointment! Teens in grades 6-12 can spend time at the Library working on a variety of projects to help make a difference in our community. Teens may schedule up to two time slots per month. Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities
Create origami monster bookmarks to be handed out to children in our library. Each teen will earn one hour of community service.
Make bags full of birthday goodies for patrons of our Children's Department to enjoy.
Play fun board games with a younger child. Each teen will earn one hour of community service for participating.
Grab your shovels and help us plant our sensory garden. Work alongside our younger patrons to plant flowers that will explore the five senses. Each teen will earn one hour of community service.
Teen volunteers are needed to design and make bookmarks. Bookmarks will be sent to patrons who are enjoying The Smithtown Library's Homebound Mail Service. Each teen will receive one hour of community service.
