Until further notice, the Smithtown Building will be closed.
Due to the storm that occurred during the early morning hours of August 19, which caused torrential flooding, our Smithtown Building suffered catastrophic damage to its lower level. Therefore, until further notice, our Smithtown Building will be closed while we continue to assess the damage and begin to rebuild. Our other three buildings remain open to assist our patrons. A social worker from the Stony Brook University's School of Social Welfare will be on-site at the Nesconset Building each week on Wednesdays and Fridays during designated hours to answer your questions in a quiet and confidential environment.
The Smithtown Library is pleased to announce we will be partnering with the Suffolk County Office of the Aging to distribute Senior Citizen ID Cards.
