Program Description

Event Details

Falls are one of the leading causes of injury and loss of independence in adults, yet most people do not understand what truly causes them or how preventable they are. Dr. Daniel Davids, PT, will explain how balance works using a simple “thermostat” analogy, reveal the number one risk factor for falls, and teach participants how to assess their own balance safely. Attendees will also learn practical home modifications and three simple exercises that can significantly reduce fall risk. This program focuses on empowerment, independence, and evidence-based strategies to help people stay strong, steady, and confident.
