Program Description

Event Details

Join the Four Harbors Audubon Society to learn about birds native to Long Island and build bird feeders from recycled materials with younger children. Between Friday, February 13 and Monday, February 17th, use your feeder to count and identify birds at home. The data you collect will be part of the Great Backyard Bird Count, an initiative to track bird populations. Community service will only be awarded to teens who attend the program and return a completed bird count tally sheet to the library by Friday, February 20.
