A college-educated lawyer, soldier, military jurist, and spy, George Smith led one of the Revolution’s most varied and overlooked careers in service to the American cause. This program, presented by Mark Sternberg, Culper Spy Ring historian and author, aims to restore Smith’s story, interweaving his remarkable rise through the intelligence world with the Revolutionary War events that shaped his hometown of Smithtown, Long Island.
