Program Description

Event Details

Long Island has changed significantly over the course of the last 250 years.  In honor of the nation’s semiquincentennial, Justinne Lake-Jedzinak, Director of Education and Public Programs at Raynham Hall Museum, will trace how Long Island’s communities have evolved since the era of independence. Through historic and modern images, explore the changing landscapes of Oyster Bay, Jericho, Cold Spring Harbor, Huntington, and Smithtown, and discover how roads, buildings, and shorelines still reflect choices made at the nation’s founding. The past and present come together to show how 250 years of history continue to shape daily life today.
