Event Details

WWII history expert Keith Matturo presents a detailed look at the various surrenders of German armed formations following the suicide of Adolf Hitler on April 30, 1945. The events leading up to the surrenders, the formal ceremonies, the subsequent surrenders of hold-out "fortresses" and the forced dissolution of the post-Hitler “caretaker” German government on May 23, 1945 will be discussed.
