Holiday Closing

In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the Library will be closed Sunday, January 18 & Monday, January 19.  We will reopen on Tuesday, January 20 at 9:30am.

Event Details

Through performance, narrative and multimedia presentation, Transitions will explore the music of cultures and ethnicities around the world and how each has contributed to the development and transformation of music style over hundreds of years. The sharing of different cultural musical characteristics has given rise to the creation of many of the beloved genres that we enjoy today including jazz, pop, hip hop, rock, R & B, and Funk. This work is supported by Long Island Grants for the Arts through funds provided by the office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, and administered by The Huntington Arts Council.
