Join us for our sensory friendly movie.  This program is geared towards patrons 18 years and older with sensory issues, those on the autism spectrum or those who have other specific needs. 

Give back and spread smiles.  Craft cards that will be send to Cards for Hospitalized Kids, which will distribute them to hospitals nationwide.

Join us in the Library pumpkin patch as we read festive autumn stories and participate in seasonal crafts and activities.

This evidence-based program for older adults emphasizes practical strategies to manage falls. Participants will learn to reduce fall risks at home, set goals for increasing activity, and exercise to increase strength and balance.

Wild characters abound when you open a book. Treat your mind to an adventure with stories and an art project.

Give back and create wooden centerpieces for families in need this Thanksgiving.  All completed projects will be donated to Long Island Cares, Inc. Each teen will earn one hour of community service.

Join your friends and neighbors for a new release movie.

Join other poets to hone your poetry writing skills in this group moderated by retired NYU professor and world-published poet, Dr. Greg Moglia.

Honor our local troops and veterans by decorating cards for Veterans Day.  Each teen will earn one hour of community service.

 Tanzania! Whether you plan on visiting or not, come see what it’s like in an African country. Using photos and interesting facts about the birds, animals & people Dianne Taggart, long-time LI birder, will take you on a journey there!

Teen volunteers are needed to design and make bookmarks. Bookmarks will be sent to patrons who are enjoying The Smithtown Library's Homebound Mail Service. Each teen will receive one hour of community service.
