Create your own “galaxy in a jar” using paint, water, glitter, and cotton balls.

The Battle of the Books is a county-wide competition for young adults who wish to represent their public library. The competition will take place on Friday, August 9 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Hauppauge.

Celebrate Shark Week by making various shark crafts.

Help an elementary school-aged student prepare a baked good. Each teen will receive one hour community service credit for participating.

Let’s take an adventure to Paris this summer! Learn about the Eiffel Tower, completed in 1889 and designed by Gustave Eiffel. Learn to draw and paint with watercolors, step-by-step with Art teacher Amy. 

It’s Shark Week! Atlantic Marine Conservation Society biologists will introduce you to the amazing world of sharks! Learn about the largest and smallest sharks in the world and the various shark species that can be found in New York waters.
